What you should feel

Breathing

  • Breathe out as you push back up to stand tall and breathe in as you settle into the squat; do not hold your breath.

Safety Information

Build up from stepping the feet out and in without jumping before adding the jump. Use a clear flat surface with room to stand wide, and shoes you can land in. If you cannot keep your knees pointing the same way as your feet, or cannot stand fully tall between repetitions, do fewer repetitions or stop. Stop if the exercise causes pain or you become unwell. Seek appropriate professional advice about symptoms or suitability.
